Spixworth Scouts and Wroxham Barns both fire on Saturday 7 November 2026. Thorpe St Andrew, Aylsham and Sprowston have not set dates yet: what each ran in 2025.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. Broadland does not have one big display, it has four community ones plus a commercial one at Wroxham Barns. As of 30 September 2026, two have published dates, and both are Saturday 7 November: the 1st Spixworth Scouts display and the Wroxham Barns low bang fireworks. Thorpe St Andrew, Aylsham and Sprowston have not announced yet. Last year Thorpe announced on 2 October.

Updated 30 September: Spixworth Scouts have listed their 2026 display for Saturday 7 November, 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and Wroxham Barns has confirmed low bang fireworks the same night.

This page sets out what is confirmed for 2026, what the others did in 2025, what it cost, and where the 2026 announcements will appear. Figures are last year’s unless the section says 2026. We will replace them as the real 2026 details land.

Thorpe St Andrew, Fitzmaurice Park: the district’s biggest

Thorpe St Andrew Town Council calls this its flagship event, and it is the largest of the four by some distance.

Nothing is booked for 2026. The council’s own ticket page on Ticket Tailor still returned “No events currently listed” when we checked on 30 September, and its previous ticketing platform, Ticketebo, says the council “has no upcoming events at this time”. The council’s news feed, most recently updated on 22 September, carries roadworks and railway notices and nothing about fireworks.

Last year’s event, from the council’s own listing:

  • Saturday 1 November 2025, Fitzmaurice Park, Pound Lane, NR7 0UT
  • Gates 4.30pm, laser show 6.30pm (it contains flashing lights), main fireworks 7.30pm
  • £5 a head, under-3s free, advance tickets only
  • Three bars, a wide range of caterers, and the L Gray & Sons funfair
  • Live music from local band Whappscallons until 8.45pm
  • No sparklers on site, and the council asked people to bring small bags only, citing the incoming Martyn’s Law duty
  • Parking £2, cash only, at Sir George Morse Park, run by Thorpe St Andrew Football Club as a fundraiser

Two things about last year are worth carrying forward. The council’s own warning was blunt: “Please do not buy tickets from anywhere other than the official listing.” And Cllr Jonathan Emsell said in October 2025 that because Norwich was not putting on a display, people from the city would come to Thorpe instead. Plan for a crowd.

Where the 2026 date will appear first: the news page at thorpestandrew-tc.gov.uk. Last year the announcement went up on 2 October and tickets followed on 28 October, so the pattern points at early October.

Aylsham Community Fireworks, next to Woodgate Nursery

Run by Aylsham Scouts with the display fired by Flashfx, this is the one event in the district that splits into two shows: a quieter, wildlife-considered display for younger children, then a full one later.

The organisers’ own listing on ukfireworksdisplays.co.uk still carries the 2025 date, Friday 7 November 2025, and describes the event as Norfolk’s only two-part Flashfx wildlife-considered firework night, with a full funfair, a range of food vendors, a licensed bar from Redwell Brewing Company and a traditional bonfire. It has not been updated for 2026.

For the shape of the evening, the fullest published account is North Norfolk News’s report on the 2023 display, and the running order has stayed recognisable since. That year it was held in the field next to Woodgate Nursery in Cawston Road, gates at 5.30pm, a small display at 6pm, the fire lit at 6.30pm and the main display at 8pm, with food vendors and fairground rides. Tickets on the night were £6 an adult, £5 a child and £20 a family, cheaper in advance from Coxfords Butchers, JB Postle or Aylsham Town Council at the town hall or on 01263 733354. Treat those as history, not this year’s prices.

Two practical points from that report still matter. There is no general parking, only disabled parking, and everyone else is asked to walk. And the lower-noise choice is deliberate: a group spokesman said they use wildlife-considered products, warn local farmers and Redwings of the timings, and hope an organised display stops people letting off their own.

Aylsham’s own listings site, Visit Aylsham, which the town council runs, currently has nothing at all after 22 October. When a 2026 fireworks date exists, that calendar is where it will show up alongside the scouts’ own channels.

Spixworth: confirmed for Saturday 7 November

The 1st Spixworth Scout Group has listed its 2026 display on its own website:

  • Saturday 7 November 2026, 6.30pm to 9.30pm
  • Venue given as the field opposite The Longe Arms, 1 Crostwick Lane, Spixworth, NR10 3PE
  • Tickets available from October at Spixworth Co-op, or from a Scout leader

No 2026 prices or display times are published yet. For comparison, in 2025 it ran on Saturday 1 November at Grange Farm, Buxton Road (the same NR10 3PE postcode), with two displays at 7.15pm and 8.15pm, a barbecue, hot and cold drinks and games stalls, and tickets at £5 for 15 and over, £4 for ages 5 to 13, free under five.

Wroxham Barns low bang fireworks: Saturday 7 November

Wroxham Barns, on Tunstead Road in Hoveton, has put Low Bang Fireworks on Saturday 7 November 2026 on its What’s On page. It is a different sort of evening from the scout displays: a quieter, low-bang show designed for younger children, set to music from family films, with each group given its own spaced-out pitch on arrival.

Wroxham Barns lists live music, a licensed bar and food trucks, and says its new Adventure Play area will be lit up after dark for the first time, with the miniature train running during the day. Times and ticket prices are not published yet: the page says “more info coming soon”.

Sprowston, Tusting Close

The 30th Norwich (Sprowston) Sea Scout Group runs Sprowston’s display from its own headquarters at Tusting Close, NR7 8TD, which the Eastern Norwich Scout District’s group directory confirms as the group’s address.

In 2025 it fell on Wednesday 5 November itself, with gates at 6.30pm, the bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm with an interval. Entry was by advance ticket only at £6, under-5s free, cash only, from Newscene on Sprowston Road and from J & P Fish and Chips and Freshbake Bakery in Dixon’s Fold. There was no parking on site and the group asked people to walk.

Sprowston Town Council is not the organiser and is not the place to look. Its What’s On page is empty and the newest item in its news archive predates the current council.

What this means for planning

Bonfire night is a Thursday this year, which usually pushes community displays onto the weekend either side, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November. Spixworth and Wroxham Barns have both taken the Saturday, and Aylsham has sat on that weekend by habit. Sprowston’s was on the fifth itself last year, which is a Thursday in 2026, so that one is the least predictable.

Getting there and parking

Only Thorpe St Andrew published a parking arrangement last year, and it is a paid overflow field rather than a car park. Everywhere else you are parking on the street or walking.

All eight of Broadland District Council’s own car parks are free, including both Aylsham ones, Burgh Road with 57 spaces and The Buttsland with 58. Our parking in Broadland page has the full list, the overnight restrictions and the two-hour limit at Brundall.

Check Broadland roadworks and travel before you set off in early November. Road closures around a display are usually put in place on the day and are not always advertised in advance.
